Fishfinders
#1
Probably an oft reviewed topic, but o well. Id like to purchase a fish finder and am looking for opinions on performance and pricing. How much does one have to pay to get a quality finder? Having said that, what makes/models of fishfinders do you guys like, that are quality, but at the lower end of the price spectrum?

the thing with fishfinders is you get what you pay for them.

Its up to you to determine what you can spend. im not saying you cant get a good finder for less money, but the more you spend the better ether the screen size or resolution or power is. then above that is all the extra features which make them nice ie.. color screens, mapping etc.

In the past I have had a Garmin fishfinder. a Eagle. and now I currently have a Humminbird. i enjoy the hummingbird the most. its user friendly and provides a good product.

Depends upon what you are going to use it for and where. I have a Humminbird 565. It has a dual beam and works great. I have it mounted on a toon. Ran about 165. The newer model that replaced this one is the 570.
