I read about this about a week back. Unfortunate that a "professional" would do such a thing. Taxes are one thing but fishing is much more serious [
![]() I wish the fishing world could get this kind of advertising from ski boats and jet skis that break the law... [signature]

Anyway John, you know those redneck bass fishermen are all cheats! J/K bud. It really tarnished things. Bet anyone else thinks twice about it now though. Banned from tournaments for life. Serves him right! [signature]

Its a shame to see this kind of stuff. A tournament only works if all are honest. With technology coming into play more and more, I wouldnt be suprised to see some more of this kind of stuff. It reminde me when I was in 4-H in Colorado....people would feed their cattle all sorts of stuff that would make them win in the contests...took all of the fun out of it. I have faith that there are still a good amount of honest people left in this world tho.

Hopefully, with technology(and a cunning sense of wrongdoing, which was played out beautifully) coming into play we will see less of this. All anglers, honest or not, will mind their pints and quarts so to say. This is a harsh reminder that cheating is not allowed, if anything it will lessen "this kind of stuff".

Cheating has happen in some of the tournaments we have here as well, at one a person picked up a dead bass and tried to count it as his...Yes he was turned in ... But the person who through the bass out of his boat so he would not weigh a dead bass was not turned in...
Some will pre-fish and turn there catch loose in one place so they can catch them on tournament day.. The size of tournaments we have in Utah are mainly for bragging rights but some still think they must win at any cost.. [signature]

Kind of like when someone cuts the tail of a fish with a pair of sissors so it fits in the slot limit.

I fished with one guy that told me that was OKAY on the lake we was fishing when I seen him doing it, after we got in I ask about it and was set strait that that was not in rules and not to do it...
I haven't fished with that person again.... Each tournament has its own rules and they my not give them out to every one or even have a copy for you to see.. [signature]
