glow in the dark
#1
Does anyone have any personal experience with phosphorescent bait?
I'm curious as to what kind of fish I can catch.
I've heard about fish which only gets caught in the dark of the night, any input will be appreciated[cool]

Glow stuff works good during the day to, especially if your fishing deep. I just posted a pic on the muskie/walleye page that shows a lake Erie walleye with a blue dolphin spoon in it's mouth. That green tape glows...

Hello all, thanks for the input, I'm part of a team of developers,(we call ourselves that, sounds fancy but we're not) and we came up with a product that can be applied successfully to a number of lures without peeling off, it doesn't have any lead or contaminants, basically it is an enhancer.

The think of it is I'm not an expert fisherman, I reside in Oklahoma city and even though we have small bodies of water in a 5 mile radius, my hectic life keeps me from spending long periods of time fishing like I would like, and that is the reason I come to this community for help.

The think of it is, the stuff really glows in the dark and it is very visible even in murky waters, I've prepared some lures myself, tested them for durability and resilience and
so far they pass every test.

If any of you guys would please tell me or describe the type of lure you prefer (hard plastic is better) I'd be willing to produce them myself and send them to you so you can tell me what you think. At no cost of course.

If they are the expensive kind, which I know some of this lures can be, is probably better I send, if you'd like the product itself so you can test it.

I'm a straight shooter, and I respect this forum and is not my intention to break any rule, spam it or anything like that, so if I'm steppin' on the line please let me know. So i'm not posting any link or such, neither is my intention to sell you guys anything and if I did, it would be thru the channels this forum allows.
If I may, here's a photo so you guys can see what I mean

here in michigan, we have a bait called Nitro Crawlers.

these worms are fed something the makes the night crawlers have a chartruse tint, they work great on walleye and bass...

this tint gives the illusion of glow in the dark in the day time.

This stuff looks really cool! If i really stays on the lure like you say it does i think it would be an awesome product. In the picture that stuff really really GLOW'S!

Anyway i love using Rapala X-Raps, but i dont really have much luck with them in the night. I got all sorts of them in different colors and sizes but none of them seem to work at night. Now u got my gears turning and i wonder if you could make and X-rap glow how well it would work. Im also really curious to see how well this stuff will hold up on the lure.

Thanks for the response, do you guys have a private channel, like private messages or such? if you tell me where to send some, a PO box etc. I'l be happy to oblige. (no cost to you)

The lure in the picture is a bomber, i myself don't know how to use it, when I was a kid we'd get some dry shrimp, put i on a hook and cast it. Catfish likes that shrimp.

Does it stay on? yes, on hard plastic lures are the easiest to enhance, soft plastic lures have to be semi transparent and sliced open to put the stuff inside, (we've tried on the outside but it doesn't last long, specially when its hot and the lures have too much oil) then we close the lure again and ready to go,

i know, the first impulse is to go to Michael's or home depot, or some paint website, believe me we,be been there, and most stuff even the most expensive, is for art or poster work, here is basically the difference the one on the right is ours, on the left store bought, the thing on top is a dime, I think...

if is OK with the moderator I'll post a link to the website next post

Anyways I'd like five volunteers, who'd like to fish in the night (oo)!

Got my stuff in the mail as well, just have not had the time to reply back to you. I will test this stuff out the next time i go night fishing. i was messing around with it a little and think it may even be bright enough to paint your stick bobbers top stick with it so you can see them at night. Looks like some really cool stuff.
