So I'm fishing just below the bridge below Strike dam on Friday night and having a few beers etc... The fishing was OK but to make a long story short, one of my sturgeon rods made its way out of the boat (along with me and my cell phone, but thats another story) and to the bottom of the river. Its an Ugly Stik Tiger w/ a Penn reel. Pretty sure this is completely unlikely but if someone happens to reel one in or something it'd be cool to know it was found.
Thanks everyone

Hope someone finds it. Did you catch a sturgeon?

My brother-in-law lost one off the boat last year and we put on a heavy weight and pulled it along the bottom slowly. Managed to snag it on the first attempt.
At least you caught some sturgeon, we fished CJ Thursday and Friday and got skunked.

How much line was out? If the hook was still hooked to the guide, you probably have a tough row to hoe trying to snag it. If it had a lot if line out, you might be able to snag it.

yah i had a big old cat take a pole of mine once. took me about an hour of throwing heavy spoons and treble hooks but finally i caught my line. after pulling in about fifty other old lines that people had snagged up and lost. i pulled the line in slowly got the pole in then reeled that beastly cat in. it was a smaller cat to only a 3 or 4 lb er Never lost a pole and hopefully i never will. it was eating me up i think if i had not caught my line i would have swam out into the snake that night even tho it was pitch dark at 1 am.
