Henry's
#1
Henry's is picking up . Some freinds did real well on small ones . The biggest was 3 pounds . They caught them trolling . A guy fishing with nightcrawlers and marshmellows caught a 10 pounder off the cliffs . Curt G.

I am up there right now. The water does have large patches of grass, but they are disappearing daily. It is turning over and looks allot like Strawberry

I saw something bobbing in the water and went in for a closer look. At first I thought it was a mouse cause I could see ears, but when I got closer, it climbed on my pontoon and I sent is flying with an oar...A BAT!

This was in the belly of many I have caught to give you ideas:

I am using an Intermediate line but I have about 70' of line out. I do a steady strip.
Today started out with leech patterns but then I switched to good old Haresear #12 flash back and bite was on again. You do have to switch out during the day.

A couple:

The net is deceiving. It was a hair under 20". They were caught the first couple of days, but I am sure they have moved on.

Very cool storm moved in this evening. Looked like cotton candy on the mountains. Moved very fast too.

Four foot waves made for interesting fishing...LOL then the wind got CRAZY!

The fish look great!! Sorry the Henry's wind and waves made its usual appearance. That has got to be one of the roughest lakes in the state, and that is saying a lot. When the wind comes up it is wicked!

Just returned from Henry's. Fishing was good and the fish are fat. Biggest brooke trout was 19", biggest hybrid was 22" and biggest cut was 20". Over half of the fish caught were brooke trout.

Not sure which area you were at, but the Brooks were in our little corner as well.

They are sure pretty, but don't fight all that hard. The Cutts on the other hand....Ouch. Not to many Hybrids for me. Majority nice Brown color with rosie cheeks.
Killer Morning, but Fall is on it's way:

I have heard that the balance is in favor of the brookies this year. I am excited to see what I can get. Many years ago I caught and released two beautiful males that were over 21" each. I wish I could catch something like that just to get a picture of them.

I was wondering when the brookies color up? I expected them to be a little brighter at this time of year.
