Muskrat, Chick - Harrison Bay, bass, 10-2-10
#1
Got in a couple hours of fishing today but it was hard to get the bass to cooperate. It was a beautiful day with a slight breeze. I didn't get out until 10:30 am and caught a decent fish and a couple of smaller ones until about 1:00 pm. The bay was just full of threadfin shad...everywhere. I mean they were as thick as I've ever seen them mostly in the mouths of sloughs - points - and on out in the bay but only one time did I ever see anything chase after them. It was strange. The bass I did catch were caught on a Fat Free Shad crankbait. I might try my luck again a little earlier in the day tomorrow morning. Did anyone see the Goodyear blimp over Harrison Bay around 1:00 ? That's something you just don't see around here everyday.

J.
