Pineview - Fun last two weeks The ones that didn't get away !Pics!
#1
Been hitting Pineview hard the last two weeks and have had some success for the musky and bass.

Me my lil bro and fellow bfter utcatman aka joeski have been putting an all out assault on pineview. We figured with hunting season and the changing of seasons that we ought to hit the view and willard hard! Good call!!! We were rewarded with some nice fish.

We have fished the view from both boat and from shore and have done well in each aspect. Over the past two weeks we have found a bunch of lmb's , awesome to see so many lmb's in the view good population as well as good age classes.

Well i will keep this short and sweet. Caught bass on tubes, spinnerbaits, gulp minnows, crank baits and drop shottin' em.

Muskies were caught on big swimbaits, spinner baits, crankbaits, tubejigs, gulp minnows and top water zara-spooks. Lost a bunch but landed some nice ones.

Willard - were able to pound a couple days of good boils and had good success on top water. Too bad the weather got sour but it was fun while it lasted.

Enjoy the pics

Nice workin it! Ya'll have got Pineview's number. I need to get on that water! Nice LMBs. Some of them are Hogs! Looks like you found both the "mature" musky, and some of last year's plants.

Curious - what kind of time of day do you tend to hit it?

Nice wipers too. Didn't say much about where at Willard you hit it. North, South? Did you target any kitties there, or focus on Wipers? Ya'll have done well with the cats- I need to learn that BR area.

Thanks for sharing all the pix. Looks like some good fun! Nice to know what worked for ya. (even if I don't know what a zara spook is...)

i have been fishing the view in the am and afternoon both have been productive, even caatch em in the middle of the day. Once you find the fish the action gets hot but the trick is finding them

We have caught a bunch of micro musky(last years planters).

As far as willard we have been chasing the boils mainly in the feedlot, no kitty chasing to much fun to catch the wipers on top water.

A zara spook is a topwater walk the dog surface bait, very good to use on musky bass (lmb and smallie) as well as wipers when they are boiling.

TD - i am always down to help thin out them pview crappies and perchskis, about a month ago i was slaying the crappie yes many numbers but they were all small 8 to 9 inches, good to see so many in that class range but where have the bigguns from ice season gone?

[cool][#0000ff]Haven't heard of anybody connecting on larger crappies consistently. A few here and there. Hope to be able to find the bigguns when they go deep. If not, it will be a pain dealing with nothing but the teenagers.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Sometimes ya just gotta wait for a year class to grow up and replace the bigger ones that die off.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Hope to find some larger perch this year too. Ice anglers thinned the herd on the dinks last winter.[/#0000ff]
