Put the boat in a rapidly shrinking L.P (continuing to drop 3.5 feet a day) to try the kokanee fishing. Early morning bite was very good by the dam. The fish are very concentrated, but when you find them they cooperate. Nice-sized 13" footballs. The ramp is getting a bit muddy and slick at water level. Mike

I've never been to Lucky Peak. If it is going down 3.5 ft per day will it be ok?

Yes, no problem. They are dropping it to do repairs on Arrowrock Res., the dam just above Lucky Peak. There are some water outlets on the bottom of the dam that are frequently under water due to the backwaters of L.P. They are no longer needed due to the new power generator installed last year, so they are going to close them. The water is being held in Arrowrock, so the Boise River below Lucky Peak is not flowing any more than it normally does. In fact, the Boise River is fishing quite well now in town, above and below.
