Muskie-PineView & Newton (Please Help)
#1
I am extremely new to fishing and especially muskie fishing. I do not have a boat so I mainly shore fish.

Last weekend I went to pineview and caught 3 tigers all around 25". They were caught on a Rapala sie 11 in perch.

I went Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Aside from a very large smallie, I was skunked on muskie.

I was using the rapala in size 11 (perch) and 13 (gold), spinnerbait. All with no luck.

My question is two fold, Is there anything else that works well for muskie? I would need specifics because I am not familiar with every type of bait. Are there soft plastics that work? Jigs?

Also, is Pineview or Newton better if I am restricted to the shore? Is Newton very good fishing right now?

I really appreciate anyones help!! I loved catching those fish they are beautiful, and was very frustrated over this weekend.

Again, thanks so much for any help, I really want to become a great fisherman for these great sport fish.

i think that rapalas are excellent , maybe try jointed.i think perch is a good color.Talk to lance down at anglers den, he will help you out about location and time of day.I think it harder from shore on tiger muskies than from a boat.
