Sight Blocked because of Malware?
#1
Seems something has changed today. Got home from work and this site was blocked by Google through Google Chrome. Said there is Malware on the server basically and that malicious software was being downloaded to users computers with out their knowledge. Anyone else have this problem and do the mods know? Has anything been done by the owner to check things out?

Makes me feel better I am not the only one. Not so sure I feel real good about something being downloaded without my knowledge tho. Hopefully it will be sorted out soon.

I will report it to the administration. I haven't seen the problem yet.

Thanks

Ok, the administration was aware of the problem and here is the message from "theangler" who is one of the main administrators.

Hi Guys, Thank you for the post. We posted the message below this morning in the announcm, ent board but should have put it here:
This morning at 5am bigfishtackle.com was hacked and hackers attempted to install malware. The problems have been completely resolved we have identified how the hackers gained access, and we just wanted to ensure users that the site is now running again and we are working with google and firefox to restore our good standing. Users may have trouble accessing the site but all risks of malware have been removed.

Seems the sight was down this morning around 5am. When it came back online, I still get the warning.

Here is the latest message. Sounds like theangler has things under control.

"Thank you again guys for keeping me posted. All warnings should now be no longer appearing unless a user is entering from a search engine we have worked things out with firefox, and google has confirmed everything is ok we are now just waited for the search engines to drop the warning tag."

Thanks
