Water Temps and Surface Temps for Tiger Muskie
#1
Is there a certain tempature range for water when the tiger fishing slows down from shore?

Can you make a good guess on water temp from the surface temp?

Just wondering when I shoudnt bother heading up anymore this year.

Thanks!!

I would expect a substantial drop off in activity from the muskies. On occasion you may hear of one getting pulled out this late in the year, but doubtful since the cold front we are getting. At this time of year the weather conditions are unpredictable, which causes the same for fishing success with muskies.

My sources also tell me this year has been unusual for musky fishing.

That being said, You have to factor in that I only study, read, and attempt to catch tiger musky but have had NO SUCCESS. Even though I know better I can't say I won't try again before the ice is here.
