macfly suggested I check in here as well as on the ID forum, so here goes.
More info about my plans for next July are on the ID forum so I won't eat up bandwidth re-posting. Bottom line is I plan to be on the upper Selway River, where it's crossed by the Magruder Road, for around 5 days in July 2011. I also plan to be on Running Creek, a Selway tributary entering from the south around halfway between Magruder Ranger Station and the west end of the Magruder Corridor at Elk City, ID, for a day towards the end of the same trip.
If anybody has fished either of those locales, I'd love to know how it went for you. Intuition tells me there's very little pressure on those waters simply because it's a day-long drive from pavement, and as a result they just might be full of hungry, if small, cutts, brookies, and rainbows.
