State Leaders Set to Meet with Hunting and Fishing Interests at Annual Summit
#1
Washington, DC - The Seventh Annual National Assembly of Sportsmen's Caucuses (NASC) Sportsman-Legislator Summit, bringing together state policy makers and the hunting and fishing communities, will be held December 6th-9th, 2010 at The Grand Hotel Marriot Resort in Point Clear, Alabama.

The theme for this year's meeting, "Yesterday's Heritage and Tomorrow's Promise," describes the mission of the NASC in building upon past successes to address the challenges of the future. The annual NASC meeting serves as the most valuable venue of the year for discussion between state policy makers and the hunting and fishing communities on issues affecting sportsmen and women throughout the nation.

Currently with 38 state legislative sportsmen's caucuses and over 2,000 state legislators united on the legislative front protecting and promoting hunting, fishing and fish and wildlife management, the NASC provides a vital link between state caucus leaders and the outdoor community.

While attending this year's summit, legislators and fellow attendees will learn about legislative solutions being introduced around the nation to benefit fish and wildlife, hunting and fishing, as well as national issues that will be considered in the U.S. Congress next year.

Panel discussions and presentations this year will include: benefits/impacts of hydraulic fracturing for natural gas; aquatic nuisance species management challenges and solutions; feral swine control; new challenges for the recreational saltwater angler; and media relations.

Exclusive hunts, assorted firearms and other exciting items will also be auctioned at the summit to support the mission of NASC.
