TFO Pro Series
#1
Hi Folks,
Purchased a TFO Pro Series Fly Rod today in a
9ft 5 wt for $150.00. Came with a killer "No Fault Lifetime Warranty" .
Took it to Herriman pond and was pleasantly surprised in its performance. This rod may not be as pretty as some of the more expensive rods, but it performs very well. 60 ft casts were no problem whatsoever. It is easy to control and felt as good as my sage.
The fly of the day was a white WolleyBugger. Caught lots of fish on it today, 5ft under an indicator. The attached pictures are the first 2 I caught today.

Right on. It is a different flex than you Launch was. Pro is a medium action.
I have the 10' 5wt. It is a sweet rod.

I almost bought the
Lefty Kreh TiCrx , but the pro felt better. Got it at SportsmansWarehouse and they paid the taxes. Cool huh.
Been to willow lately Joni?

I think you would find the TiCrx on e-bay or Craigs or whatever ads for cheap.
Not a great rod. Way too fast. Some professional friends bought one thinking practicing for casting competitions and ended up hating the rod.

Pa you're to pretty of a caster to get hung up with a fast action rod. I think they cover mistakes.
I am not saying no one needs fast, they have their place. Bass fishing! Wind, big bugs.

Me? A pretty caster? Well I'll be danged. To be honest I prefer the slower action rods. I could tell the TiCrx was way
above my paygrade by how it felt. Was a pretty blue color though. Thanks for the compliment Miss Joni.
