Madison closes school and all the roads to Henrys are closed.[frown] I was really hoping to slip up there (slowly). O'well I'll keep getting my ice fishing stuff ready. Hopefully tomorrow.

Do you know how thick the ice is? I am planning on going up there Saturday if the ice is safe enough. Can't wait

I haven't heard. The lack of reports either mean that everyone is keeping mum or nobody made it up before the roads closed. With this heavy wind I guess the ice could have blown off again. Cold temps tonight and tomorrow.

Sounds sketchy to me. With all this snow how much will that insulate the ice keeping it from getting much thicker? Be careful if you head up this week!

Lucky man. We didn't make it up there before they closed the roads. Catch a big one for me!

The road has been closed since yesterday and probably won't be open until tomorrow. I would not even think about being on the ice right now. To much snow and wind. Thanksgiving day sounds much better since it will be colder and have a little time to freeze better.

Lucky dog. I will be up there tomorrow when the road opens up. Can't decide if I want to camp in my car with temps going down as bad as they are going to. I certainly won't be camping on the ice with it being that thin.
I just have to be back for a 3:00 turkey time on Thursday.
Good Luck Everyone. Be careful. No fish is worth your life.

Just checking the forecast for tomorrow, you have a high of -4 and a low tomorrow night of -20. Hope you got your electric undies.

Ya, it will be really cold. I've done -20 before. Didn't like it but I've done it. It really just depends on if the road opens up in time to make it worth my while going tomorrow.

makes a huge difference if you have a shatyi. last year we fished at gem lake when it was around -25 with the wind chill and we were wearing long sleeve t-shirts in the shanty with the heater.
