[cool]It's been at least a year or two since we've had this conversation, and I can't remember the answers completely, nor do I feel like doing a search... I'm thinking of getting the little buddy heater to go along with an eskimo 3 man type shelter. About 5 years ago I went night icefishing to Strawberry with a guy (he's never on here anymore and forgot his name) and his little buddy heater worked like a champ the whole time.
That said, I've heard that the newer models of the last couple of years come with an auto-shutoff device when the oxygen gets low and this causes the heaters to shutoff every 10 minutes or so at high elevations. Has anybody on here bought one the past couple of years since they installed that feature, and have you had any problems with them at the lakes at 7500 feet and higher (Strawberry, Huntington, Scofield, Fish Lake, etc.)?
Also, if you don't use that heater, which one do you prefer for your shantee and why??
