With all the things going on here I thought I had better take the opportunity to fish this morning so put in at Soddy about 7:30 and tried for some crappie. I'm not finding a lot of crappie on docks right now and what's there seem to be out in the deeper water, maybe 10-15 feet from the dock, emoScratch I did manage to catch 22 by noon by fishing docks, deep structure, bluffs, and blow downs. Fish caught at all depths down to 25 feet.
Used BG MoGlo ghost and Cajun cricket for the most. I did manage to catch a couple that were just short of 14 and caught my 20th TARP of 2010.
That was my goal for the year so any more TARP's that I catch will be icing on the cake for the year. I intend to fish some during the month of
December so maybe I can increase the count. The fish are really in good condition for the winter right now, nice and heavy, emoThumbsup
I ran into The Wolftiever Kid today and watched him catch and release a really nice 15 inch crappie. I also caught a big drum, (DK, you would have
been proud) he was a little over 27 inches long and netted him with 6 lb Mr. Crappie line, emoTongue It was a good fight, emoThumbsup
Water temp was mostly 58* with very heavy overcast and almost no wind today, emoSmile Not many other boats but did get some heavy waves
from the 3 destroyers that were lined up going downriver, emoRolleyes
