Louie B, Carters Lake Thanksgiving Week HUGE SPOTS, Spots, 11.22-11.26
#1
The bite has been up and down this week. Averaged 10-12 spots per day and caught a few hybrids and a striper this week too. The big spots have bit even with the tough conditions. I had a 5.21 and a 5.77 spot in my boat this week. The 5.77 was caught on Wednesday by 17 year old Conner Malier of Rome, Ga. Conner also boated a 4.33 and 3.97 spot and his dad, Carl chipped in with a few spots of his own including a solid 3lbr. I caught the 5.21 on Thanksgiving morning on a High Powered Herring fast sink in Alewive color. Bobby Cox of Dalton also boated a couple of nice spots on a football jig and carolina rig while with me on Turkey day.

The rest of the week was up and down. Tuesday was by far the toughest day for me only boating 10 fish all on worms and Red Rooster drop shot flys, no big fish on Tuesday.

Typical Fall junk fishing this week, dropshots, spoons, jigs, shackey head worms, jerkbaits, fish heads, swimbaits, everything in the boat but nothing worked great.

Here's a few pics from the week including the big spots.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

LB
