Hit the water about 12:00, hadn't been out in almost a month. We were gonna do some crappie fishing and brought some bass gear to poke around some too. Well launched a HBSP, and decided to head towards a spot we had luck on close to CFP. We started fishing there and started getting nailed right off the bat. We missed a TON of fish today, im assuming bluegill but who knows. Started off with a small crappie, then a nasty yellow fin shad, then a smallmouth, then some bluegill. I decided to throw the ole' spook a couple times and managed a small spotted bass. We were trolling down the bank side in about 10-12 fow throwing into about 3-6 fow, and thats where most of the fish were being caught. I was throwing a yellow w/gold glitter tube, and Jason was throwing a chartreuse BG shad. We ended up catching 8 crappie, who knows how many bluegill, 1 spot, 1 smallmouth, 1 largemouth, and a nasty shad. We had to cut the trip short because my boat went down again...boohooooo. Went through 2 batteries on the water trying to get it to start, the primer bulb looks like its got some sun damage, and is a little dry rotted. Hope with getting new fuel line, and a new primer bulb it will fix it but I doubt it. Seems like it would at least start with the fuel thats in the carbs. Anyway Jason took home 5 crappie only 1 under 12 in(I think). They were niiiiiceeeee. Water temp 57 dg, chartreuse and yellow seemed to be the fav today, missed fishing need to go again ASAP!
