Dude, I was thinking the same thing! I just got done looking at the Willard web cam and it looks like at the north marina there is lanchable open water on the right side of the first boat dock. If anyone goes there in person would you please let us know. Thanks!

I stopped in yest after work and checked the south marina out !!! The very last launch on the northern side was open plenty of room fer any size boat to launch ..With the recent winds out here in Willard and the balmy 42 deg temps the ice is bout history .. I will stop in tommor an check it again and snap a pic !!

wurd I've hurd - the Crappie move into the harbors up-to and into first ice. After the lake caps they move out and around.
Walleye could also be following after them. Catfish are where catfish are (everywhere). But along with the Crappie should be some perch and bluegills moving in around the docks and hanging on the bottom (perch anyway).
I'm really tempted to go down and float the harbor(s) if the ramps are open, and at least some of the ice is off. Fishing the edge of the ice can be good in Spring I know.
