Deep Creek Res, Report
#1
Holy cow this place was slamming today! Did the trip alone and only saw two other parties on the ice. Fished from 8:00-4:45 and iced 80 trout 79 bows and my first Deep cutt! Now the fish ranged in three classes 10-12" 13-15" and 16-18" and I got plenty in each class. I never went five minutes without a hit, and if it even slowed a llttle I just found a fish on the Vex. From 8:30-9:00 and 2;30-3:00 I actually got winded I was running so much[:p] For most of the day I was alone and it was the most still quiet, where I just heard falling snow only to be interrupted by an ocasional coyote chorus. Now as far as what works well first work your rods; they like a little jigging. Second almost anything will work, but if you want specifics PM me and I will be happy to help. Ice was 3-4" and I fished in 15 feet of water. I have had bigger and more number fish days, but honestly this will rank as one of my top fishing trips ever!

I was the one with the noisy kids. We were enjoying watching you run around. We iced 21 and it was steady for us from about 9-11. It was a good time to be out. The groups by us seemed to be doing well too.

Kichnbass,

Glad to see you got your kids out and they look like they were having a good time! I probably looked like a real fool with all that running, plus I set up my ice cube and never set foot in it[Wink] Hope you get out plenty of times this winter.

I saw you get set up and then never got in it. At least the ice wasn't slick or I would've quit fishing and just watched you. I was glad the road wasn't bad at all to get in there. Maybe we'll see you again.
