Hi everyone, My boy and I would like to try and catch some burbot Friday night but aren't quite sure where is a good place to go, any suggestions for friday and what to use? If anybody wants to go let me know. The more the marrier, good luck wherever you may go!!!

Fishley is in the know on them things. Agree with Wyoguy, lots of info on the Wyoming board. My advice would be to take any advice from Fishley you can get at the Gorge from his pictures he has them dialed in.

Are you looking to catch them through the ice? If so, you need to go up to the north end of the gorge on the Wyoming side. That is the only place that has safe ice. Reports show that it is safe down to the confluence area, but you need to be careful. There are some warm springs in that area, and you may need a vehicle with 4 wheel drive.

Last weekend I caught 14 of them around lost dog. I was using the 2 in. white radical glow tube jigs tipped with chub meat in 30 or so feet of water. Be carefull of the snow drifts on the first half of the road as long as you stay in the tracks you should be ok but be careful of where you pull off as it may be deeper than it looks. Once you get half way the road is fine.
