but those things are so damn ugly... LOL... a few years back my son in law and I took a guided day of fishing san diego bay and off of point loma... first fish he caught was a ling cod.. was eerie at times when I would catch a glimpse of the thing staring at me..LOL... but have to say the spotted bay bass in the back bay off of the naval station was awesome... we eventually got run off by seals in training but it was a great day of fishing...

Lingcod are pretty damn ugly... or extremely cool looking if you have six year old son. They have an amazing set of teeth. They're also tough to catch, at least in my experience.

that was the only one we got all day.. but we got lots of other fish so was a good day and worth the money...
as I said the spotted bay bass were the most fun.. we would drift over them and then go at it... then reposition and drift over them again.. could of kept that up all day.. :-)..

I know in scouts they show you how to stack rocks in a certain way as trail markers so people can follow you... but dont remember how to do it.. LOL..

yes those were good memories... my problem was that I usually got lost even with the trail markers... :-)
