Deer creek ice today
#1
I drilled a few test holes at the island state park. Ice was only 2 to 3 inches thick. The pucker factor was stronger than the urge to fish.
Open water near main boat ramp.
People fishing at Charleston on the ice.

Ice was about 6 inches out from Charleston Parking lot.
A lot of fisherman, not a lot of fish. Our group caught 10 fish in six hours. Largest fish was a 17 inch rainbow

I was at DC both yesterday and today near charleston. Great ice, but be careful in areas. Guy next to us got a little close to the provo river inlet and discovered he was on only 2 inches of ice. Yesterday caught 7 fish, and today caught 5 fish. Here is a pic of what we kept yesterday.

Check out this poor guy we caught today at DC. This guy is 16 inches and we caught him in 6 ft of water near the shore line. The poor thing has a fishing line coming out of his butt, and when you pull on it, you can feel the hook is lodged in its stomach.

How about an update on the ice at DC. It was around 4-5 inches thick up by Charlston this past weekend. Is the rest of the reservoir got ice now, and is the ice thicker in Charlston now that it is a few days later?

Thanks!
