Made it to FG yesterday with two fellow BFTers. I don't recall the name of the place we fished but it was the second road south past Buckboard. First time I have ice fished up there when it wasn't bitter cold -- which was a nice change. Ice varied between 3 1/2 and 5 inches thick. Take your ice cleats!
We tried both shallow for rainbows (we managed to land around 1/2 dozen of really fat ones) and fished deeper for pup macks. We caught around 15 pups, but they were the smallest ones that I have ever seen caught up there. We also lost a higher percentage of fish than usual. Definitely not the best outing that I have had up there and certainly not the worst either.
