SFCR Big Sand Bay

We fished the south side in 28 fow with horizontal jigs (the others didn't seem to hook up well the bite was very light) and a small piece of worm right on the bottom

Had a GREAT day fishing today. I have "struck out" the last 3 times out, But today was awesome I landed 2 - 10" perch in 8hrs of fishing missed maybe 3 and my best freind landed a 12" trout for me, while I walked to the truck to get my hand auger.

But my buddy, best friend and new BFTer [#63626b]old_idahoan[/#63626b], thrashed me today with 20 10" perch and a couple of releases. Man how does Humble Pie taste? Well I know the perch will taste good! The least I could do was clean them, right? Now I get to cook them as well!

Had to use the old Jiffy as my eskimo would run but would die when I tried to cut ice, NOT GOOD! Old-idaho has a new 6" niles and it is awesome. So after I get the eskimos problem figured out I may need to find me a new hand crank, niles or lazer?

Hers' some pic's notice the eskimo covered in shame while I auger my holes with the hand crank.

Look like you had a great day Michael but it looks cold to me. You can call me a fair weather fisherman, I guess, I just can't handle the cold since I've gotten older.

Thats great. I hope to find perch/ dinner like that soon. There is nothing better than a mess of perch big enough to fillet. Glad to see you got the skunk off.
