lake mead 1/7/11

[cool]Went out after work to 33 hole for an hour. Launched the floattube and trolled a white grub and caught one striper at 4.5lbs. Got one more bite for nada. Then headed to Hemenway for the trout eaters. Trolled around the pier and beach for 1.5 hours for nada. Saw one small one caught by a boater. After I got out and got changed and opened a beer, I saw a school of trout cruising the shoreline. Grabbed a rod with a storm bait and gave chase with another guy from the pier. When we got close,we began tossing. The school st\arted to head for deep water,still on the surface, then made a quick u-turn back to the shore. Third cast and fish on! Short battle and a 3lber hits the beach. Next cast was a birdnest.Crap! The school of trout vanished and darkness fell. Nice finish for the day. Sorry no pics as camera was left at home.
