Tying again
#1
Had the erge to sit at the vise again, just to tie some basics.I was going to tie hairs ears when I came across a Fox Squirrel hyde in my dads old tying stuff. Wow,did these hairs ears turn out cool, buggy, varigated hair color. Tied some 21inchers and golden stones with it too.

If I am remembering correctly I think Dave Witlock tied one that he called a Red Fox Nymph. It was his go to fly. It is basically a Hare's Ear tied with fox instead.

I will have to look it up and see if there is a picture of it.

Sorry James,
but the flies on the left just don't look to be 21" to me.[Wink]

Seriously though, you tie a mean fly! I wish that I had your talent.

thanks.

the 21 incher was named that because the first fish the originator caught on it was 21 inches. trivia
