FLY FISHING TOUR VIDEO COMING TO OMAHA FOR RECYCLED FISH
#1
Council Bluffs, Iowa - Featuring the best filmmakers in the industry, the Fly Fishing Film Tour will make stops in over 50 cities across the U.S. this year. For the first time, one of those stops includes Omaha, Nebraska on Thursday, June 18.

"The closest it has come in years past has been Denver, Minneapolis or Wichita," says Teeg Stouffer, Recycled Fish Executive Director. "We are excited to have been able to license the tour and bring it right here to Omaha."

Proceeds from the night will benefit Recycled Fish, the national non-profit organization of anglers living a lifestyle of stewardship both on and off the water, because our lifestyle runs downstream.

"We were able to bring the films here through the partnership of Rave Motion Pictures and the generosity of one donor who was willing to cover our licensing fee," said Stouffer. "Now we look to the community to answer back by filling the seats for a great time celebrating the sport of fishing and the waters we love."

This year's lineup of films offers a truly global experience, showcasing footage shot in Papua New Guinea, Russia, New Zealand, Belize, India, as well as domestic waters from California and Colorado to Southern Louisiana and the Florida Keys.

Each film has a very unique flavor and message and while all of them showcase incredible cinematography, each has their own blend of hilarious commentary, mesmerizing storytelling, and some of the largest and most impressive fish ever caught. But the common thread that permeates all of these films is the desire to showcase, support and spread the sport we love. The Fly Fishing Film Tour is an opportunity for fans and their friends to come together and celebrate their passion, support local and national conservation groups, check out exotic or well-known locations, swap stories, and generally just get stoked for fishing.

"The main focus of this tour," says Tom Bie, editor of The Drake magazine, "is to showcase the talent of these filmmakers, raise some money for conservation groups, and provide fly fishers-or those interested in becoming fly fishers-an evening of entertainment."

The Fly Fishing Film Tour includes short films from Felt Soul Media, Beattie Outdoor Productions, Confluence Films, Rollcast Productions, World Angling, Skinny Fist Productions, and more.

The event takes place at Rave Motion Pictures at Westroads, 10000 California Street,

Omaha, NE 68114. Event starts at 6PM, films starts at 7PM with an intermission. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $10 for children. They are available through the Recycled Fish website, the Fly Fishing Film Tour website, and locally at Woods Sporting Goods in Council Bluffs.

The evening will include door prizes and silent auction items from Hill's Discount Flies, The Clean Environment Company, Frabill and others.

Recycled Fish is the national 501©3 organization of anglers living a lifestyle of stewardship both on and off the water, because our lifestyle runs downstream.

The Fly Fishing Film Tour is presented by The Drake magazine. The Drake magazine is a grassroots journal for fly fishing enthusiasts. It was founded in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, in the summer of 1998 on the principal that too much contemporary outdoor writing gives away all the answers to people who never learned what the questions were. Today it includes emerging voices alongside veteran writers. The Drake magazine is published three times per year. It is not an instructional publication-it is for your reading and viewing enjoyment.
