BOULGERS POND: (August 12) Fishing is good. Try worms or PowerBait for best results.
CLEVELAND RESERVOIR: (August 12) Conservation Officer Ben Stearns reports fair fishing with PowerBait, worms, silver spoons or trout-imitating crankbaits.
DUCK FORK RESERVOIR: (August 12) Anglers report fair fishing for 13- to 18-inch tiger trout. Fishing has been better with an artificial fly than with a lure, and fishing has been better from a boat or floattube than from the shore.
ELECTRIC LAKE: (August 12) Conservation Officer Ben Riley reports fair to good fishing. Try dead minnows for the best results.
FERRON RESERVOIR: (August 12) Conservation Officer Ben Stearns reports good fishing with PowerBait or worms.
GIGLIOTTI POND: (July 30) This pond was stocked prior to the July 24 holiday weekend. Good fishing is expected. The limit is two fish.
GOOSEBERRY RESERVOIR: (August 12) Conservation Officer Ben Riley reports slow fishing.
GRASSY LAKE: (July 30) Fair fishing has been reported for anglers using worms or PowerBait. The catch consists of albino and regular rainbow trout.
HUNTINGTON CREEK: (August 12) Fishing is good in the fly-only zone for brown trout up to 14 inches. Try fly patterns like leeches, prince nymphs, stimulators and hoppers. Anglers have had less success on the lower right fork, but have had better luck fishing in the deepest holes.
HUNTINGTON RESERVOIR: (August 12) Fishing is best from a boat, floattube or pontoon. Try fishing with PowerBait, worms and silver spoons. On August 9, Tom Ogden flyfished with a #8 black and green soft hackle fly on fast-sinking line. Fishing is fair for 12- to 18-inch tiger trout.
JOES VALLEY RESERVOIR: (August 12) Last weekend, two anglers caught a 3.5-pound cutthroat and a 5-pound splake from the dock at the marina using worms. Generally, fishing is slow from the shore and fair from a boat. Chub is still the best all around bait.
LA SAL MOUNTAINS: (August 12) Conservation Officer TJ Robertson provided the following fishing reports:
Dark Canyon: Fishing is good. Try using green or orange PowerBait, or salmon eggs and worms. The best lures were Panther Martins and Jakes. Fly anglers should try using leech, mosquito and mayfly patterns.
Dons Lake: Fishing is good, especially with live or artificial grasshoppers or mayfly patterns. Bait anglers should try nightcrawlers or PowerBait in a variety of colors.
Hidden Lake: Good fishing continues. Anglers report good success with rainbow, orange, red and green PowerBait. Nightcrawlers and marshmallows have been working well too.
Kens Lake: Fishing success is fair to good, likely because of the cooler temperatures and rainfall. Trout anglers have had good success using orange and green PowerBait near the inlet on the northwest side. Nightcrawlers and salmon eggs have worked almost as well. Jakes and Panther Martins have been the best lures. Bass fishermen report good success with small frog or crawdad imitations. Try small crappie lures in white or chartreuse for sunfish.
Medicine Lake: Fishing is good with a variety of baits and lures.
Miners Basin: Biologist Kenny Breidinger reports good fishing for 10-inch brook trout. Kenny caught the most fish on a wooly bugger.
Oowah: The lake has drained, so there is no limit on the number of trout that you can keep.
Warner: Fishing is good. Fly anglers are catching fish with a variety of patterns all day long. Green and orange are the best PowerBait colors, and Jakes and Roostertails have been some of the better lures.
MILLER FLAT RESERVOIR: (August 12) Anglers report fair to good fishing with multicolored PowerBait.
MILLSITE RESERVOIR & STATE PARK: (August 04) The reservoir was recently stocked, but anglers report slow fishing.
PETES HOLE: (August 12) Fishing is good with worms or PowerBait. A black Panther Martin with yellow spots has been the best lure.
POTTERS PONDS: (August 12) Fishing is fair. Try targeting albino and rainbow trout in the early morning with worms or PowerBait.
SCOFIELD RESERVOIR: (August 12) Anglers report good fishing with a variety of baits and lures. One angler, on bigfishtackle.com, reported excellent success trolling or still fishing. He caught 20 to 25 trout in four hours. On August 4, Tom Ogden and two friends flyfished from a tube on the east side and caught 32 fish in four hours with wooly buggers, green leech patterns and Canada blood leeches on medium sinking line.
