Went to UL after work yesterday about three thirty hoping to get in to something. Fishing was slow, but the Hubby did luck on to a pretty nice walleye. It would have been nice to catch a few more to go with dinner, but we'll take it.

I'd rather be lucky than skillful any day[:p] Nice catch! It's been my pursuit now for two years to land one of those from UL. If you don't mind, what were you using, at what depth? I won't ask where you landed it because the lake is full of them all over as far as I know (which isn't much). Thanks.

Thought I'd be catching white bass so I was using a 1/16 oz chartruese ice fly tipped with a worm in about nine feet of water. It was pulling way to hard for a white bass, so it was a pleasant surprise when it was a walleye not a carp.
