Showdown stand ala TubeDude
#1
I made a PVC stand for my Showdown fish finder after seeing some of [#0000ff]TubeDude's [/#0000ff][#000000]photos from his recent outings. He was gracious enough to supply me with some close up photos of his design and I went to work yesterday on mine. I did alter [/#000000][#0000bf]TubeDude's [/#0000bf][#000000]design a little by making my stand a few inches taller and I added a base for the finder made out of 1/8 inch hardboard from an old clipboard. I was very happy with the results as the unit now sits at eye level when I'm seated and I can reach the controls without getting up. If you have one of these finders, you might want to consider using [/#000000][#0000bf]Pat's [/#0000bf][#000000]great idea.[/#000000]

2x8 board in the photo is not included in the design! [Wink]

I have a different brand but you have given me an idea. I'll post pics someday of my creation.

[cool][#0000ff]I prefer "Prince" of PVC. Has a nicer ring to it.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I like the use of a solid piece underneath. Provides more stability. I might just "accomodate" that idea. Still playing with a couple of design ideas. [/#0000ff]
