Arrived at the lake arround 9 A.M., with a -1 degree showing on the truck. We fished the charleston area. I caught 10 rainbows and one 16" brown. My brother in-law and his daughter caught 6 rainbows, for a total of 16 fish. It took alittle while to find what they wanted, but when we found the right jig it was fish on. We used a small glow tube jig, tipped with meal worms, or nightcrawler. Fishing an inch off of the bottom. The fish were all planter size, but were still fun to catch. We each took a limit home to smoke up in the smoker. Ice was anywhere from 4" to 6". My camera battery was dead so sorry I dont have any pictures.

Glad you got into some fish. I targeted perch maybe I should have tried for some of the suspended fish but we stayed deep for perch.

I guess I should have gone to Charelston instead of the island. We were there in the afternoon and were hopping around to a variety of depths. Only caught one, but that is all you need to avoid the skunk[:p]

Bite was pretty slow Tom. They were really light too. The Mr. Jigger barely moved. managed only 8 before the fish disapeared from the finder and the bites stopped completely.
