Went up to Pelican Lake for 3 days of camping and fishing. The weather was great and we did pretty well getting those bass.I got one Blue Gill.
My son was not happy I did not let him take his shot gun there were doves everywhere up there and alot of people hunting them.But all in all a good weekend

Good to hear you had some fun. Dove and Quail are in decent numbers this year out here. I haven't seen as many Pheasants in the back yard as I did last year though.

Great report. By the way, what were you using? I usually nail the gils outa there with a peice of worm on a small hook. Did you only use artificals or something?

Hey Tincanfish, the bugs weren't even half as bad as they were up there about a month ago. Which was nice we could actually speak without eating a ton of those things. The water level is lower also.
We used top water, spinbaits for the bass and I tried a worm and I couldn't get a bite on the worm. But then I got a small jighead and put a small curly grub on and the Gills started hitting it.
