first ling

Went to Firehole at the gorge yesterday with some good friends. unloaded at daylight at the ramp....feels good to be the first on the ice in the morning. One friend caught 3 average sized ling. I managed to ice three 2-1/2 to 3 pounders, one dink and 1 nice rainbow. Caught the "eels" on a glow in the dark swedish pimple with a worm. They had been feeding on crawdads and one ling had another ling inside him.......three were caught deadsticking. I jigged the little one in using the flasher. Had a good day with good friends, good beer, It was so nice i was down to just a long sleeve shirt part of the day!

sorry.....I didnt get any pics of the ugly buggers....but theres 8 of them that wont be preying on the bass and trout population!
