I fished Cascade yesterday. Fishing on a mud flat in 11-15 FOW. Perch were feeding on the bottom eating snails. Caught most of mine on a jig shaped like this one,
[inline BB-82tn-2.gif], gold in color, with glowing red eyes and tipped with a piece of night crawler. I only threw back one all day as it was too small. The rest were all at least 11 inches with one going 14.5 inches and weighing 1.71 lbs. Can't wait to go back. Brought home 19 in all, which is as many as I would have wanted to fillet.

Wow! I wish we had a better perch fishery on this side of the state. I was planning on getting over there but I am lacking gas money this winter.

Nice job Buggy. I have a good feeling about the perch fishing up there this year and you just confirmed it.

Yeah, I'd love to go. I'll PM you my schedule. If we don't make it this winter, we'll go hit the spawn for sure this spring.

Very nice. Never heard of so many nice perch in an outing like you got. Good deal. Now that's a few meals for sure. Way to go.
Thats the little bug or similar to what I thought was a paddle bug. Ever have any luck with trout or other fish with a little bug like that or just mostly perch? I really like the company that makes those bugs. Not many people no about their spoons but they are great.

Wow, that looks like a perch, only bigger.
Is there good fishing in open water season or do we have to try and come while there is ice?
Nothing I like eating more than a perch. Or two.

I'd expect open water to be good too. I hope anyway.

Would we need to drag the boat or is there good bank fishing there?
