Lost Creek and Weber River
#1
Went up to try the Weber yesterday, and when we got to Taggart it was solid mud. My family and I wanted to atleast catch some fish so we went to Lost Creek. Fished on one of the points, and we caught 5 total, including a 2 pound rainbow. Then we hit the upper weber, and my uncle caught a 24 inch brown. About 5 mnutes later, my little brother caught a 20 incher. Rolled lots of nice fish, but I didn't get one. I think now I'll concentrate on scouting for my Muzzleloader/Rifle deer tag.

The water was extremly low. We went to see the boat ramp, and it was out of water atleast 50 feet. We ended up fishing the point at the place where the reservoir splits into the 2 arms, on the northern side.

What time of day were you fishing there and what were you using? I am assuming that you were fishing from shore[unsure].

We fished it right in the morning just after sun up. We were using mostly powerbait, but also caught 1 on a blue fox #2 in rainbow trout colors.

I've never had to much success here in the mornings. I have always done real well in the evenings though with worm and marshmellow.

Use the yellow garlic marshmellow. I also did quite well with a black marabou jig slowly jigging up the shoreline.
