Not much on trout
#1
After living within spitting distance of the Big Horn river for a year now the wife and I finally fished it last fri.
On advise from a friend we followed his map to a nice looking hole that was supposed to hold some saugers and of course trout.
Cold and windy conditions kept us from putting in as much time fishing as I would have liked.
Drifting a dropshot rig and a crawler down the run didn't produce any sauger but I did catch the largest rainbow I've ever caught.
Unfourtunatly she swallowed the # 4 hook and was bleeding badly so we kept her.
Absolutly a beutiful fish and 28 1/4 inches on the board.
I'm not much on trout but fish like this could change my mind [shocked]
Trying to justify the money to get her mounted.
I'll see if the wife can't get a pic off the camera and post it.
