Has anyone been to Rockport in the last day or two that can tell me what the ice is like and/or a fishing report? I'm trying to take a first timer out on Saturday.

I was there Tues. the edges were good but the ice has 4or 5 inches of water/slush on top. Wasn't bad in morning when it was frose, but hard going by noon. The ice under the slush is still 12-15 in. If you go watch out for old holes 'cause they are not froze very good, and easy to step in. And finally the fishing wasn't very good for me, and some others I talked to. Could be different by now! Be safe.
