well considering the weather and my gout flaring up we took our trip to crawdad cove today anyways, good thing too, not much action i did get a chance to toss my new l.a. slider around... 5 cast after i got there, boom fish on solid hook up this fish literaly ate that 6" lure see the picture of how deep she took it. just shy of 5 lbs and my new personal best striper. a few hours later i had a nice hit but missed it, nothing else for the day seen a couple guys bassin gettin a few along the shore from their boat. well worth the trip, not too windy nore cold, nice day on the water for a shore lunch and fishin. tight lines[fishin]
p.s. I'M SOLD ON L.A. SLIDERS LOL TIME TO GET MORE LOL

thanx, i was really surprized how fast i hooked up today literally 5 casts i was on. never using that type of lure i figured i would only get a chance to figure out how to work it, not catch something the first outing, i was doin somethin right i guess. call it beginners luck lol[cool] no cats around, maybe a bit early? i didn't see any trout swimmin around, probly all eaten only a few carp belly floping here n there. pretty quiet out there only a couple other bankies. thats the way i like it though... seclusion[fishin] oh that fish was female and had an empty belly, probly why she engulfed the slider lol. tight lines

i don't know how others use it, but i was just casting out and retrieving it at a normal speed about as fast as one would retrieve a crank bait. i was fishing it rather shallow meaning as soon as it hit the water i started reeling and kept my rod tip up high. i tried a few different retrieves really slow and deep, high and fast, stop and go, and bottom bouncing it, but the strikes came on the normal retrieve high.[fishin]
