Rifle Gap and Harvey Gap State Parks Open for Boating on April 1

RIFLE, CO. - Rifle Gap State Park and Harvey Gap State Park, will open to boating on Friday, April 1. To prevent the spread of aquatic nuisance species (ANS), including zebra mussels, quagga mussels, rusty crayfish and Eurasian watermilfoil, all vessels must be inspected prior to launching.

Rifle Gap and Harvey Gap are part of the Rifle State Park Complex, which also includes Rifle Falls State Park.<br />
All vessels entering Rifle Gap Reservoir or Harvey Gap Reservoir will require an ANS inspection. At Rifle Gap, inspection stations will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. until May 15 when hours will be extended. The inspection station at Harvey Gap will be open Friday through Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., until May 15 when inspection hours will be extended.<br />
