Overton arm!!!!
#1
[bobhappy]Ok ppl I'm wondering about the Overton arm of the lake. Are there any coves that will produce fish in the first part of June? As well as have a good area to throw my tent up for a few days? I'm looking for a cove that's known for fish but slow in the fisherman ad I'm wanting some quiet time. Any help woujd be more then enough. Thanks.

If you wet a line in the Overton Arm in June, you will catch a fish. If you hike far enough, you will get peace. If you find sand, you should be able to pitch a tent.

I'm pretty sure there isn't a magic cove, but if there is, nobody is telling...

Lol thanks. But I've never fished the area. Are the dirt roads in good condition( no rock climbing, mud bogging ect) as I don't have 4 wheel drive. Just looking for good cover from any wind that night come in. Any ideas on what coves are in that area

The Overton side of the lake is great for smallmouth and largemouth. However, there are not many roads that lead to shore fishing in that area. The only place to drive up to and pitch a tent would be the Stewarts point turn off after Echo Bay marina. There is usually alot of people camping being that it is one of the only spots out there that are accesible by truck. If you just want to fish, you can park at Echo Bay marina and walk to the left. There are some nice coves with ledges that hold fish in June! Hope that helps! Good luck!
