challis salmon river

Anybody have good river conditions for the salmon river around the challis area? Also how is it in the canyon, is there still fish down there. Might be going on thursday what do you pros think it will be like, river conditions and fishing? []

I'm no pro, but I was working up in Salmon and then Challis today so i stopped and fished above Challis when I finished my route. The water wasn't exactly muddy, but it certainly wasn't clear either. It had more of a green hue to it and was up a bit from all the warm weather runoff. I didn't look at the river down in Salmon too closely but it looked like the same story, only a bit more murky. I caught one fish, but wasn't fishing too hard.

I suspect you can get into fish pretty easily just about anywhere right now, just as long as things don't completely blow out.
