used to fish tere a few times in the 90's and was elbow to elbow sometimes. i never hear much about it anymore. or for that matter any of the hagermen waters, riley creek or oster lake....and what about the salmon reservoir there in hagermen a guy told me recently he catches bass there in the winter because the water is warm? is this true? thanks and good fishing. i wish i had days off during the week. every weekend day it rains.............[crazy]

The Bell Rapids area is planted several times a year. It used to be a 2 fish limit. I think that has been changed now but I am not sure. I don't think many people fish it like they used to. The water in the summer gets quite warm and full of moss. The local Bass club used to hold tournaments there but I think they quit. Bass fishing is not as good as it used to be. Most are small but a larger one comes around now and then. The same can be said for salmon dam just down stream but same body of water. That section of the river has raised in temperature over the last decade. I have asked the F&G to stock crappie and cats there due to the raising temps. I think a lot of people go somewhere else like SFCR or Magic instead of Bell Rapids. I know it used to be a great fishing area years ago.
The Ponds at the Hagerman WMA open at different times and they plant them quite often. If you go remember to post to let us know how you do. Ron
