[cool][#0000ff]There are a couple of places to consider. Both the Island and Charleston areas are state parks and subject to fees. The attached maps are both "low water" maps...and the higher water of early spring will have plenty of launching potential at both places.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]If you want to avoid the fee, you can launch through the brush and reeds at the intersection where Hwy 113 turns north toward Midway off from 189 to Heber City. There is a turnout there and you can usually launch okay when the water is high enough.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]There is a ramp at the Island, but not at Charleston. But, there is a good gravel launch area that you can drive right to the water. [/#0000ff]

[cool][#0000ff]This is coming up on a good time for walleyes in that area. They run up the Provo to spawn later this month...depending on water temps. And you can sometimes find them staging in the channel before the bridge.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Also good for trout all over the upper end. Try fishing shallow...fly, spinner or crankbait...for both browns and rainbows. Still early for smallies and probably not much potential for perch for a while yet.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Here's a couple of pics of the area. Primitive camping. A pit toilet and no running water...except for the Provo River.[/#0000ff]

This helps a lot thanks! Having never fished that end of the lake before this will get me started. Now to get mama nature back on her meds so I can go spend some quality time with her.[cool]
