Cats below Bliss Dam?
#1
Whatdya think? I've heard of good spring catches but no experience. I was lucky last year in twin falls with a decent cat (#9) but nothing since...

I've soaked a lot of bait there for Sturgies. Never caught a cat there however.

Same with me. I have fished there for sturgeon below Bliss dam but have never caught a cat. I know I have heard of a cat being caught every once and a while but I have never talked to anyone that actually caught it. Where did you catch the one you got? I saw one caught at centennial park about 20 years ago. The F&G planted that once that I know of. There are no good numbers of cats east of CJ strike. I have even fished a good deal at strike and have never caught them there. I know a lot of guys do catch them there but I haven't. Milner has some but again I have never had great luck only small ones. I know some bigger ones are there but they are tough to find.
If you go to Brownlee you will have a better chance to catch them. Ron

Hmmm well it will be worth a shot. Im the kind of person that it really doesn't matter what I catch as long as I'm out fishing, even suckers make great brined cutbait! I heard that you'll occasionally get lucky there. The guy who caught the fish is bringing me pics to prove it but I'm sure he's not lying or anything... just incredibly lucky. I guess the canal that feeds into the oakely reservoir has some good holes in it with #10+ cats in there. Problem is, I think that's private property.

I'll find em. I know they're here.
