Well, not the day I had planned for all winter but we did have a good time. Put in at Rivermont to find the water down about a foot since Sunday.emoToast Rode downtown and hit a bank that had some slower current on it and boated one small spot. Gave up and headed to the bend. Hit one of our favorite spawning banks and boated two more spots on blades. Not happening. Made one more move and finally got into some fish.
We ended up boating 13 spots, a 3 lb LM, a small smallie, 3 drum, 1 google eye, a blue cat, a channel and 2 nice flatheads. Pretty wierd mix a fish but it made a fun 4 hours this morning. Water was still rolling like crazy and was very stained to muddy. Water temp was a COLD 60.5 degress for late April. Best we could tell the spots are not spawning as the 3 females we boated were still full of eggs. Not sure when they will pull up, maybe this weekend or next week.
Fun day off from work. And Tyler did catch one fish and lost two more.emoApplause
Most fish came on pig n jig and tubes with a couple on spinnerbait and cranks.
