Lake level is 10ft+ full. Temps are 64-66. Clarity is great on the lower end and mild stain on the upper end.

Fishing is good "overall" at Carters. The Spot bite is slow for numbers for me. Quality Spots can be caught using a variety of moving baits in the late evening and early morning. I'm seeing a lot of Spots up shallow roaming and a few on beds as well. I fished down a short bank inside a main-lake pocket a few days ago and saw 10+ Spots on bed all in a 20yd area. As soon as they finish their thing look for the jig head bite to really pick up over the next week to 10 days. Lots of male's guarding fry = lots of action.

The Alewife spawn has started and is in full swing. Jerkbaits in the late evening has been working for Stripers and Walleye. I've been working Spro Mcstick Jerk's in Spooky Shad for most of our Stripers the past few trips. Here's a few pics from the past two days/nights. The first pics are a couple of my regulars, Rick and Angela Graham having a blast boating multiple big Stripers and a few Hybrids using 7ft Medium Spinning Rods w/ 15lb Braid. Drag stripping action for sure. Next is Bob Warner of Canton with a nice 14-15lb Striper he caught on our trip yesterday evening. ALL Stripers and Hybrids were released after photo. We need all the Stripers we have to get rid of all this bait. The amount of Shad/Alewife in Carters is alarming.

Last, the Walleye are getting bigger. I think I've figured this Walleye bite out. It's simple really. Go fish for Spotted Bass and literally hope you don't catch a Walleye and you'll catch em every day. The female's are apparently making a major move, all these fish were full of eggs. We're picking them off on rocky points while fishing for big Spots. These are really good size fish.

I have next Monday and Tuesday open and a few days in May left if anyone is interested in chasing a big fish.

Again sorry with trouble uploading pics...
