Hit the marsh today with a buddy of mine. Ended up landing some nice cats. They are chuck full right now getting ready to dump some eggs. We caught the fish in about 3 feet of water with a temp of 57-58. No finicky bites with these ones they just hit it and ran, made for a good afternoon.

Those are some beautiful kitties. Good job, man. I tried today over at Cutler and didn't so much as get one taker.
Next time I hope!

Dang, looks like I need to get back out into the marshes. Why is it that the nicer days are always when I'm stuck inside all day? Those are some fatties for sure.

Very nice! Good news - it's warming up! Man - kitty envy - I SO wanted to hit it yesterday, but got caught up at home.
So I gotta ask - what were you using to tempt them so? Do you anchor up and go at them? I've tried bottom bouncing out there, but there's so many snags to be found.
Sounds like they must be getting up in the shallows for some frisky time eh?
Thanks for the post. Gotta git me out there!
Lavaman- you should take a half-day, and come with! We'll got find em!

We can make time for kitties at Powell but it will have to be at night since we will be slaying bass all day.
