Bone to Blackfoot Res Road
#1
The Report is that the road through Bone to Blackfoot Res. is still snowed in, and hasn't been plowed yet. I was getting Carp fever with all the talk on the site. I think you can get in from the South side but thats a long drive from Idaho Falls to Carp Practice! [mad]

I know that a week ago the road from Firth to the Blackfoot Resevoir was not plowed. You could make it to Miner creek was all. I will be a couple of weeks before it will be open if doesn't get plowed open. I hope it is plowed next week as we have to take cows up to around Brush creek.

They are starting to plow the roads north of Soda Springs and I imagine that it won't take them long to have them all plowed. I checked the Blackfoot for ice on the 27th. @ the dike and it was still froze over but should start to go fast. I live in Soda and check it all the time so I'll keep ya posted.

I know as of Weds you could make it to the top of the Brush Creek hill on the river side. I don't know what the weather did to the road yesterday. [bobsuspicious]

I'm beginning to wonder how well the carp classic is going to go over this year. I'm sure the cold weather is a blessing of some sort (prevent horrible flooding, etc.) but I sure wish I could go chase fish in warmer water!

Just make sure you have good tires! Both a friend and I have had tires blown there from all the sharp rocks on the road.

I was out there this afternoon and its still frozen. Maybe by next weekend it will be ice off. Here's a pic. Not sure what its like around Poison Creek or where the Little Blackfoot dumps in but it is sure got to be getting close.
